UV Arc Flash Protection System

Protects electrical installations and components by detecting arc faults through ultraviolet radiation using intelligent sensors connected to a network. It does not require current measurement. It is immune to ambient light (no false trips) and can be applied to low-, medium-, and high-voltage switchgear as well as outdoor applications, reducing incident energy.

By eliminating current measurement, the system provides protection by detecting the ultraviolet radiation generated by any arc, even before visible light appears (which is associated with the air expansion and overheating phase). Detection is ultra-fast, with a total trip signal transmission time of up to 300 microseconds. To ensure this response time, the system uses a static output contact in parallel with the relay contact and an ultra-fast digital communication network (CAN). Cables are supplied in lengths ranging from 0.3 to 8 meters. All accessories, such as mounting brackets, are included, enabling fast and error-free installation without the need for tools.
