Railway wheels are manufactured according to the AAR-M.107 Class C standard. They are also made from SAE 4140 or SAE 4150 materials, heat-treated to achieve strength values exceeding 900 MPa. Wheels with a surface-hardened raceway can be offered for certain special services, upon customer request.
