Description

MIGUEL ABAD SA rail wheels have been designed for different uses and applications in the industry.

They provide solutions and facilitate the design, provision, and rapid replacement of complete units and their components. These units are suitable for overhead cranes and any mechanism requiring guided movements on rails, necessary for mechanical engineering in general.

Built to strict quality standards, all components guarantee high reliability during assembly and, subsequently, when subjected to rigorous operating conditions. The wheel units consist of a wheel applied with interference fit to a shaft, which is in turn mounted on spherical roller bearings housed in separate bearing housings.

Also, according to DIN standards, they are supplied directly mounted on the wheel. Each series includes a motorized or driven version. Wheel units are also manufactured specifically for user requirements.

They are supplied greased and painted, ready for assembly.

The wheel is obtained through a triaxial forging process, preforming and punching, which gives it the fiber orientation necessary to achieve strength values commensurate with the service to which it will be subjected. The steel used is 42CrMo4V (SAE 4140) according to EN 10083, Rt = 1100-1200 N/mm2. It is supplied with volumetric hardness treatment of 321-363 HBr.

For those severe applications, MIGUEL ABAD has developed a "PREMIUM" line based on 50 CrMo4 (SAE 4150) S/EN 10083 steel, where the tread is hardened with our exclusive patented heat treatment HQ MAX®1 500/550 HBr or HQMAX®2 for a hardness of 550/600 HBr with penetration of 5 to 7 mm.
