MIGUEL ABAD pulleys are manufactured in both forged steel and Nylatron. According to customer specifications, they can be fitted with double-row cylindrical roller bearings, perfectly sealed with special seals.
In our blocks, these bearings are lubricated using pressure lubricators, one per bearing, placed at the end of the shaft and duly protected against impacts.
When constructing the pulley, special attention is paid to the shape of the groove. The groove bottom radius greatly determines the life of the rope, which will be maximized if the rope seats properly in the pulley groove. Upon request, pulleys with hardened grooves can be installed to extend their life.
For O&G application the pulleys are supplied according to API 8c.
