MIGUEL ABAD's Brake Sheaves are built to meet the typical braking requirements of heavy-duty cranes, both during travel and lifting loads.
For this purpose, the material used is a semi-pearlitic spheroidal (nodular) graphite cast alloy, which gives the pulley excellent properties for the aforementioned service. This results in a highly effective component that resists the thermal shock to which it is exposed (see data sheet).
Depending on the customer's needs, pulleys, according to brake regulations, can have either a centered or offset hub. Similarly, to prevent misalignment in transmission systems, MIGUEL ABAD developed a line of couplings that are matched to the pulley hub.
